There is a thread in the cornering section talking about it.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Kevin's Hotchkis built '76 Dart is using that setup, so once it's on the track I am sure we'll get some first hand information. As for factory setups, my '14 Mustang 5.0 GT uses an electric power rack with three different settings, comfort, standard and sport. I usually drive on the sport setting and it gives OK feedback while still being easy to turn the wheel. I won't claim that feedback is great, but it's OK. Definitely better than the factory power unit in my 'Cuda. The 'Cuda steering is very light and easy which was typical of that era, just not much feel. The hydraulic power rack in my '01 Mustang probably has the best feel of all.

Thanks guys, it looks like a good inexpensive alternative to power steering.

you realize the ebag link is just for the controler and you still have to source the column from the jy ?

Yep, but you can buy a complete steering assembly for about $ 85 bucks. That plus the controller is still ahead of the game.

There was a place selling complete kits at SEMA and I think he wanted $650 and up for a system depending on the column.

I have all the parts to do it. just got to find the time. I drove the saturn vue I robbed the steering out of. It turned real nice. The controller off of ebay has adjustability, so Im confident it will work nice.
