Anyone know a source to buy the clips the keep the rods in place??? this is for an e-body kickdown

I'm not saying they are correct, but Ace/True Value has them.

I have searched and even looked up an nos part number for them and the ones i found and payed for was all wrong..I found them by buying the rods with the clips on from swap meets..

I can't and won't speak to anything E Body but I have had the same rods that have a reversed direction in the bends that take clips which are 180* different. From what I've ran into there are usually a couple ways to do the same thing. It's just a matter of having enough spare parts laying around. A guy I do some swapping with drills all of his and installs small hitch pins. Granted its not correct but it works just as well.

Look on the "Help" boards at your local Auto Zone ,Advance etc.
