Here is a pic of the stock chain on the left vs. Manley on the right The Manley looks beefier but is it really stronger? Stock chain is for stock applications but how is it for sustained high rpm use? Road racing for example?

From what I've seen is that the tensioner slides or the tensioner plate will break before the chain will.

I've seen the same. Mostly on 5.7 backing plates. One of our 392's for a shop car had a broken tensioner plate and the nylon portion just fell into the oil pan. That was so incredibly lucky.
BTW Jerry...I called the shop the other day to ask you a question and the guys told me you retired?

I would use stock or Crower. I just put a brand new $91 Mopar set in my build.
Mopar to the bone!!!
