Should. What year trans and motor? You know in 67 they changed from the 19 spline output shaft to the 23 spline in the tranny.

Did 727's always have the larger converter snout and big blocks have the corresponding larger register in the crank?
Small blocks had small versions as well as spline difference from 1967 & back.

Another concern may be the converter and whether or not it matches the neutral or external balance of the 440 you plan on using.

383/400/cast crank 440 share the same weighted TC.

the BB 727 case fits B/RB engines.

its the correct balance on the TC that makes it all come together.

I used a 77 B/400 weighted TC and 727 trans on my 78 cast crank 440 engine.
