Hey, maybe someone can help me out. I have a 72 Duster with a 318 a 4 speed overdrive manual tranny and an 8 1/4 rear. I'm going to be swaping out to an 8 3/4 rear so I'm going to need a new driveshaft.

Does anyone know the proper length driveshaft from center of u-joint to center of u-joint, for a 4 speed a-body and 8 3/4? I want to try to find a used driveshaft so its ready to go when I swap rears instead of putting in the rear then having the one I have shortened. Thanks

Butch

48.99 is the standard length shaft for a 4 speed 8.75 set up.

The 8.25 rear uses a DS about 1" longer. You won't be able to use it with the 8.75 rear.

A list of DS lengths.
