Is anyone on here running a 440 Source, 440 based stroker combo with the 440 Source CNC Stealth Heads? I'm curious of your performance and cam choices. Also, what is the final compression ratio of your engine. Tommy

Hi Tom as I have not seen you here in a bit. Tom I use the 440Source 4.15 stroker kit with dished pistons as I use the basic EZ heads and with the D-dish pistons I have 10.6 comp for pump friendly 92. I do have .045 quench also and a custom solid flat tappet to keep the cyl pressure down enough for pump gas. I drive it on the street 99% of the time and I use the Indy dual plane with an 850 DP as the driveabilty is very good. I am sure the Stealth heads would work about as good with porting as my EZ's are just cleaned up and not seriously ported. Ron

Last spring I did one. B based 496, but not Source parts. Customer supplied a kit from Muscle Motors. Heads were CNC Stealths with std wedge openings. Cam was a small custom solid flat tappet from Porter Racing Heads. With factory exh manifolds, full stock exhaust, dual plane, and Holley it makes on the order 430hp, 440tq to the tires. Have to check my notes but I think it came out to 10.4:1 static with dished pistons.

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.

Thank you for the responses. I love the two '63 Plymouths in this post. Beautiful cars. Guess I'm prejudiced. I'm having a 498" Source kit put together with the CNC heads. I'm trying to get an idea what to expect from it's performance. I'm going to run a Comp Cams .575" lift "Street Solid Roller". 3700 pound '69 Road Runner with 4.30 gears and a 3800 RPM converter.

Ron, we've had troubles with the race car ("FRUSTRATION" is it's name). In the down time, I found surfing with my son is a pretty good alternative. I still love vintage drag cars, but it's tough to compare the track to the beach! I hope to see you soon. Tell Gary I said hello. Tommy
