So I need a headlight switch for my 69 B'cuda. Year One lists it at $45(as aftermarket)Rock Auto lists it at $10(obviously aftermarket). Anything I need to know here or is this Year One just being Year One?

See if you can determine the brand from each, there are different qualities but Rock Auto stocks some good name brands.

10 vs 45 I'd have to try the ten dollar one. Fortunately they are easy to access/change out. I would price one at your parts house as that it might help you decide

Standard is a decent quality aftermarket piece, probably as good as you'll find at this point, I wouldn't hesitate. In fact I might buy 2 just in case I ever needed another one. Be careful if running helogens through older switches, it can cause them to overheat on high beams after an extended period.

Ordered the Standard from Rock Auto $19 w/shipping. Should be fine. My head lights are on relays so should be OK.

Too late since you already ordered it...but it's good to check on Amazon too. The standard one there is $4.75 plus 5 to ship.

There are great deals on 'damaged package' type stuff on Amazon too.. I had got an Edelbrock branded/AFB carb kit for like $20 or so since the box was a little squished. Didn't bother the gaskets of course. And have got deals on other various stuff like that too.

I have prime too, so most stuff is free 2 day shipping, but in some cases, like with the headlamp switch some sellers, even with shipping added in are cheaper.

When I re-built my Barracuda front suspension six years ago, I bought lots of my parts at Amazon. On orders over $35, their shipping is usually free and that can save a lot. RockAuto has good prices and good products, but it's their shipping that often kills the deal for me.
