I LOVE dyno tests that have disappearing horsepower when and IF a car ever hits the track.
There's a member on here(won't mention who) that claims 1,000 hp on the engine dyno, yet can't get the car to run quicker than 10's in the 1/4.
thers more than one on this site

Yes, but a 3500# car with "670hp" Should trap a lot faster than 122, especially with a stick.
Hit the nail on the head!
Not the first time that some rather large HP numbers didn't MPH anywhere near what they should. 670hp at 3500 is 130+ on a bad day. 135ish with a good setup. One was a 580ish HP, 3000# and barely cresting 120. Not a fricken chance when there are a bunch of 500hp cars at same weight running better general numbers.
yeah, but in the engine's defense correct me if i'm wrong, but '75 a bodies are heavier then the earlier ones. he has upgraded to a dana add 75lbs 9" slicks... manual shift. who knows what clutch he's running does he even have a blowproof bellhousing or is he running the cast iron stocker. not sure what other addons he put on the front to add weight and take hp.
but i was just sayin the procomps can be made to run and are a good option. probably not so hot out of the box, but prepped you can make some serius powers
dr. j can go play in some dirt
3500# is 3500# regardless of the wrapper. It should be in the upper 120's without much stress.
None of the incrementals on that deal scream HP claimed. 60' 1.584 330' 4.618 1/8 7.144 mph 97.86 1000' 9.319 1/4 11.158 mph 122.86
Slip is a non issue with 6400, 4.30's and 28" tire being right in the 124 range. It does not appear to be blowing through the clutch.

If those are the numbers from a 670HP car than my little Edelbrock headed 360 is way stouter than I thought lol(120.5mph@3500lbs) full exhaust right off the highway. I figured it makes 500HP on the most perfect day.

If turning good dyno horsepower into good E.T.s was easy everyone would do it!
I just LOVE guys who tweak on their stuff for years to get an impressive "Best number" for their signature, then act like it ran that fast right off the trailer, and runs that fast on every pass it makes!
I just LOVE guys who misrepresent the retail price of something just to make their argument stronger. Do they not realize that in doing so they throw away their own credibility?
I hope DconD100 gets this resolved, man, that sucks. I do recall when I was waiting on my heads, that I posted last October or November, imploring members not to send this guy money!
