I'll be the first to jump in and commit to contributing to any cost of any professional SS or Pro-stock 60s and 70s period match race at PRP,Columbus,Norwalk and even at Beaver Creek if Charlie decides to take an event there.This is above anything that I already do for the CCs.Last year BigDog and I put up our own money to have a race of champions for the winners at Columbus to race the winners of PRP.It was much appreciated by the racers.These are the things that help the CCs.Kevin start the poll over and let's see if we have any one serious out there or just a lot of talk.

Since we race Hemi S/S, I will speak about this class, but if we want more cars would it be better to loosen the rules a little and allow single carbs and raise the index to 11.00. You could split the class in two, 11.00 - 10.00 and 9.99 - and faster. Then have a run off between the two finalist for the money. Just a thought.

Once again several good points made. The biggest thing (IMO) that needs to occur, in 2009 is there needs to be a BIG promotion of something.!!!
Not sure what it should be, but the ideas here are great, and the word ADVERTISE is a mouthful.
The economy has really hurt alot of folks in 2008, and the rain sure punched CCE in the mouth.

Something NEW & BOLD needs to be unveiled for 2009. If it means Brand X in the NSS class, then so be it. Just because the drive brand X doesn't mean the don't spend $$$ or won't draw a crowd of Brand X followers.

Waiting until March-April to decide to make a move is waiting a bit to long me thinks

And first and foremost that as of 8.40pm on Saturday, that 81% of the people that voted would like to see some sort of NSS class involved in the CC EVENTS.

Don't know about anyone else, but if 81% of the people agree on something. I personally would think, it merits at least, some discussion for the 2009 season.

With only 8 people that posted that actually have points with c.c. events....this poll means nothing.
Without a good sponsor & cash, I can't see it being done. Focus on getting the car count up with ALL the existing classes , not just revamping an existing one.

I understand that only 8-9 people with points voted.

But doesn't that mean that the other 71 voters are potential NEW Racers, or spectators. That once again would mean a 850% increase in car counts and/or spectators .

If only the people that are existing racers get a vote that "counts" then I agree that this whole process was a HUGE waste of time.

If I was owner of a series such as CC Events, I would want feedback from NEW, and existing customers alike. JUST IMO

Ok the thinking was to leave Hemi just the way it is now. So they can still run trans brakes and big tires Now Max wedge on the other hand... Just change it to the NSS and allow all makes. It would allow more years of cars, and different models resulting in a higher car count. Just an idea....
