Parts book shows that as the 1970, non-TA part.

So did the T/A use the later style trim that had the lip that went under the front of the hood?

All 1970 Challengers used the same hood molding.

The T/As just used it with longer stud clips because the front lip on the 'glass hood is much thicker than the steel hoods.

The stud clips are easy to change out if needed.

Odd they want $40 more for the T/A part w/o studs than the STANDARD Challenger w/o studs version.

Here's a #3549699 that I have just opened studs are 3/4" long (how long are the T/A pieces?). The original cellophane packaging is stuck to the face of the part, what's the least destructive way to remove it?

Jim/Dan: These are the correct original factory clips used to mount these hood pieces. The one in front is an original off my car.

Original for a 70 type molding like Dan posted, or/and a 71 molding that also has the ledge on the bottom?

Dwight, what are those from? They do not look like they would work well with the foam insert inside the moulding, nor do they look like they would pull the moulding tight to the hood. Here's 2 used '70 mouldings I have with the same ~3/4" studs as the '78 dated NOS piece.

They were off an all original, untouched 70 318 car. They would be correct for 1970 only. 1971 had screws that held it in place along the bottom of the moulding that is unique to 1971. The original moulding did not have the foamy stuff inside it. Those Pal nuts held it in place just fine.

Does anyone know a source for these clips? I need a set for the trunk molding on my '70 Dart.
