ts70rt OP member T Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 132 englewood beach, florida	Can someone tell me why aftermarket harmonic balancers are listed for big block and hemis for the same application. I dont have a factory balancer for my 426 hemi and want to get one for a good price. I see S.F.I balancers but the are listed for 440 and 426 hemi? Any info, ideas or people selling one let me know. THANKS

mickm master Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 4,179 California	the hemi used a different balancer, it was thicker and heavier. hence the pulleys for everything were in a different location, farther out from the engine. so if you use a stock balancer, you will need stock pulleys, reproduction or not.
