I just found no ethanol added pump gas localy, too bad it's 91 instead of 93 I think 1/2 and 1/2 with some VP should be good winter storage gas.

Would an engine really notice 2 octane points? Would be nice to run the 91 straight but I only tested with 93. I'm thinking it might be worse than just 2 points lower as far as detonation resistance because of the no added Ethanol, what do you think?

I have 93 octane pump gas and 93 non ethanol both available to me here. The non ethanol version makes more power when jetted correctly and can withstand more timing before showing signs of detonating.
I would try it, bumping your timing down a couple decrypt start and see what it likes. I usually have to bump up a couple jet sizes over non ethanol fuel when going to E10, so keep that in mind also.

In the late 60's I worked in an automotive research lab that had a knock lab attached to it ( single cylinder engines that you could raise and lower the CR while the engines were running ). Yes, even 1 octane # change can cause detonation that is audible.
