Hello I am making progress on my suspension. I have a 71 dart with qa1 lower control arms. I purchased the hotchkis front and rear sway bars and the instructions indicate that they are weld in. Do all all of them need to be welded. If so does anytime have better instructions. The ones that came with the bars are terrible

Thanks joe

Sorry you are having trouble with the instructions. Here are the digital instructions, complete with full color pictures, they may be able to help you a bit more.

For your kit you will have to weld in the mounts on the K frame as well as tabs on your lower control arms. I don't know if the QA-1 units come with provisions for sway bars.

Thanks. I will take a look at those instructions. Yes the qa1 are molded after 73-76 with sway bar

I just mocked it up and it seams that the sway bar is several inches too wide.

I think you'll need a 73+ front sway bar. I'd give our guys a call this morning, so we can double check your measurements.

What year K Frame do you have BTW? Your mix/match may not work.

It's a 71 k frame with qa1 lower control arms. I spoke with the guy at qa1 (very knowledgable) I mentioned that the car might have to be on the ground? I have it on my lift so the control arms are hanging down.

Sorry, I forgot your were having trouble with the instructions.

Here's step one from our instructions:
Lift the vehicle and support. Wheels must be at ride height for end link, and bushing bracket mock-up, use of a flat
alignment style rack, or drive-up ramps preferred.
