I would like to figure out what size wheels/tires will work on my 67 coronet after I upgrade the brakes. I will need 17" or 18" to clear calipers, I would like to get as much meat as possible on the front and back. I was thinking 17x8 or 17x7 wheels with 5" B.S. 275/45?/17 on back and 255 on front. Or 18x8 275/45/18 on back and 255 on front. I would prefer 17's if I can find the right wheels. Anyone have these on a 66-67 b-body? Is this the biggest size that will fit and not rub?
Thanks!

Your problem will be clearance between the caliper and wheel. A 17" wheel will normally clear calipers on 13" rotors but it can be close.
What you need to watch out for is the width of a multi-piston caliper. If you're using a Brembo style caliper the wheel must move the spokes away from the brakes.

My 18" wheels and 14" rotors left feeler gauge clearance around the caliper.

Here's a pic of my mockup to demonstrate the concern. Try putting a regular wheel on that rotor. It's going to hit the caliper before it ever touches the lugs.

Feets, Is it easier to fit a 3 piece wheel to a setup like that brembo caliper vs a one piece wheel?

That or see how compatible a car with a 5 x 4.5" pattern lug / wheel from the factory that came with brembo calipers...measure them up and see how the back spacing works out?

Agree 17" will usually clear 13" brakes but close. I checked mine before ordering the brakes with a template provided by the brake manufacturer. Close but good.

As you look at tire sizes you will probably be happier with what you find in 18" for high performance type. 17" will be shorter.

My car used two piece wheels with one-off centers to clear the calipers.
Going completely custom like this is not required but I had a specific wheel in mind.

To fit the most rubber and clear big brakes on my 66 Coronet I had to get custom backspace wheels made. 18x8" w/5.5" backspace. 255/45/18" tires. The tire/rim just fits with no rubbing front or rear. The 6 piston Wilwood calipers and 12.19 rotors clear with 1/2" clearance top of the caliper to the rim.

Thanks Lefty - Think you can fit anything wider in back like 275 with that BS? From other posts I read some people say you can fit a 275 if you use a 7" rim, but maybe it isn't worth the little extra tire size to risk rubbing.

A 7" wheel is too narrow to run a 275 on...they really want to be on a 9" give or take. (From 9" to 10")

(if you look up the tire you want to run, the manufacture has specs for recommended wheel width)
