My Dad has a little blue shortbed exactly like that, it's been over 300K miles from his home in Ohio to Pikes Peak and everywhere in between! Looks like you found a sharp little truck! Wiring problems are pretty common on these old trucks, but that can be expected from almost any 30-year-old vehicle. I'd like to believe it was a weak battery since it had not been driven for quite some time. The stalling out when put in gear issue is still a mystery though. When it's warmed up there's no problem or if I give it some gas then drop it in gear. I'm wondering if the choke is not working properly. It has a Holley 2bbl but I haven't been able to identify it yet due to the rain.
