Back in the late '70's I bought a '69 340 Swinger that had a trans worked on by B&M in California. It had reverse pattern, manual shift, 5 clutches in the drum and would shift VERY hard into second and VERY hard into third. It would sometimes chirp the tires in third it shifted so hard. I have never been able to duplicate this third gear shift with any shift kit I've used since. Any idea what B&M did to make that 727 shift so hard into third gear?

I love the smell of Deer guts in the morning, it smells like... VICTORY!

The 2-3 shift can be effected by the band lever. They may have used the 5.0:1 lever. (???)
