Hi, 67 Coronet R/T 2 speed wiper motor stops in the up position when turned off. What could cause this?

P.S Also the stock air cleaner base has a small opening for carb. I replaced carb with a Eddy 750 now need larger opening for new carb. Are there any bases that will fit the original top about 18"DIA.

Thanks Jerry

Did you have it apart?
Wiper cam installed 180* out is all I can think of. Thats if it always "parks" at the same full up position.

It has been apart not from me. What exactly is the wiper cam? Is it attached to the wiper motor?

Agree if it follows the same "sweep" and parks at same spot, it may just be a matter of taking the nut off and flipping the arm 180 degrees and re-fastening.

Its the small lever arm attached to the wiper motor shaft. The wiper linkage attaches to and pivots on it.
Should look something like...

Check the ground. Run a jumper ground to the motor.

Yes to the air cleaner base question.. Had the same problem with mine, found a base at a wrecking yard that worked with mine.. Seems as if alot of the bases are interchangeable..
