Can anyone tell me what and why the difference between the two rear side windows on E-Body convertibles?
In the attached picture I show 1 of each type – 1 has the wider stainless trim on the inside, though both seem as though they would look the same from the outside? I also see two different weatherstrips – my pictures shows one each from the two different window types and also what I got when I bought replacements (the centre one of the three).
Was one 1970 and one 1971?

The glass could be a clue too – IIRC one year had the holes and the other didn’t?

One is 1970 and the other is 71. I think the one on the left is 71 but not positive. Maybe someone else will chime in.

70 is the straight one 71 has the little L

Thanks, that makes sense, I couldn't remember which ones were from my 71, and at the time I bought the weatherstrips they only offered one style (I hadn't realised they were different).

So I'll use the 71 pair of frames and the new weatherstrips, and the best glass I have from the other windows (assuming of course the new repo w/strips are better than the worn 40 year old originals - by no means a given )
