I acquired this car after a long time friend of mine passed on. Just now getting it out of the barn after 7 years and going to clean it up and go through everything and put it back where it belongs on the race track. Its got a 440/727/8.75 with ladder bars. Motor isnt much. Heavy old TRW dome pistons, Mopar Performance flat tappet camshaft, Iron 906 heads, Team G manifold and Dominator carb. Its ran a best of 6.7? in the 1/8th which isnt too bad. Put a little fuel in it and a new battery and fired right up with 70psi oil pressure. Needs a lot of updates but plan to take it testing sometime in the spring.

When I bought my '69 someone had put a '67 nose on it. I thought the hood would be impossible to find, but it is the same hood as a '73-'76 Dart!

The hood on it definitely does not belong to it. Im unsure of what its actually for but that is something I want to change on the car. I would like to buy a cowl hood for it if I can find one.

Well it won't be long for you, you are ahead of the curve starting with a barracuda! Although it would be easier with a 68! Just messing with ya. Have fun with it like your friend would want you too. Beep

You don't need a hood, you need head lights , and of course A WELCOME TO MOPARTS

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

You have one of the Modern ones with the 74 hood.
How did they first make the later hood for the earlier car???
Baffles me????

Cool car! Go racin'!

My currents are a 68 Notch (Kia Alien Green) and a 67 convt in process of rehab....

Perhaps a parts car is in order, it may help

Ya that would be nice to have. The dash is completely cut out so it would be nice to put a factory dash back in it but probably just going to build a aluminum or buy a fiberglass dash. I don't want to jump into this thing and try to spend a bunch of money and lose interest right away. I want to enjoy it while working on it.

Can you tell me where to get one like yours or is it something you had made?
