Hey all, can anyone tell me if a gasket or some sort of windlace went on this part of a car?

It is a thin piece of metal surrounding the rear windows in my 2 door 65 valiant with post, yet it is rough leading me to believe something covered this area...

Isn't there a garnish molding (steel) that goes from the deck shelf all the way to the windchield? I believe that it also serves to secure the edges of the headliner.

It's just an interior garnish molding. I have a '65 Dart which has them. They are different between the 2dr hardtop and the 2dr sedan when you're looking.
