I just bought a 68 Charger and would like to do the nascar look with aluminum slots. I'm kind of looking for a tall wide front tire plus since I'm using 15"'s for rims I would like to know the best backspacing. I'm think that my backspacing in the rear will about 3 3/4 to 4" with 15x8.5" with 315/60/15's but I'm not sure about the front?

All I got was a red X. But just to tell you it is not going to happen with a 4" or less backspace unless you are putting on air shocks.

You will need at least 5-5.5 inches

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

And I don't even think a 315 width tire will fit under the car unless you have moved the springs or mini-tubbed it..

Also, a 315 width tire is way too wide for a 8.5" rim. About the widest tire rated for that width rim would be a 275/60 IMO..
