Thanks for the heads up, Dan.

Despite visiting the site numerous times over the course of the last couple of weeks, I hadn't noticed the discount code.

Maybe I'll finally order my Fox shocks for the wagon.

Which Fox part numbers fit a 72 Imperial?

Dan, do you use Ebay to sell items aswell? As an international buyer is saw that the shipping costs, to the Netherlands, Europe, for example leaf springs are 590 dollars. The leafsprings itself costs 690 dollars. That would make the total really expensive.

If you sell through Ebay you can use the Global Shipping Program that reduces the shipping cost substantialy.

I'm in the market for a pair of (front) adjustable shocks, but my local partsshop is giving me a very good deal on shipping and import through Summit-account. I doubt the price will vary much compared to the current Hotchkis Sale.

Try the Fox Marine line shocks...
Are you asking about 'actual fit' or 'tuned fit'?

Have you called us directly for a quote? We have very good rates with UPS, may save a few bucks.

I'm talking about a decent shock that will help control the ocean motion now and be friendly when the larger T-bars go in.

Large cars require a lot of shock.

Get these with the remote reservoir.....

Get some 2.0 Kings with a weld on eye at the shaft, shorter compressed length.

This will never be a corner carver. I just want to tighten it up a bit.

Then just add a couple of ratcheting straps from the frame to the LCA'S that should limit how much the Imp lists on the turns......

I think only a set of adjustable shocks would sufice to dial in the car to your liking.
Don't think any shock-maker would be willing to setup a test-rig to fab just one set of shocks.

Although I would think a qualified person with years of shock-experience should be able to come up with a set of well tuned shocks that would work 'pretty ok' on your car based on weight and use.

Otherwise you might be left to your own devices and have to modify/beefup existing shock-internals.

Nothing that extreme. I'll have to find something better than Monroes.

For what it's worth, I'm running Monroe Sensatrack shocks with helper spring on the rear axle of all my fullsizers.
On the fronts I run the KYB's, #KG4507.

Most obvious issues I'm finding is that they all could benefit from bigger torsion bars, but that's also because I've lowered them a good deal.

Feets,
If you can get us the dimensions an mounting styles along with the corner weights of the car and spring rates we can dial you in a pretty close shock based on our codex. The nice thing about our new system is the guys can do the math based on that information to give us a good ballpark to test a new shock from.

Thanks.
I'd hate to see the cost of custom shocks. The fronts are the same as the 70s C bodies but the rears are longer. I've got the numbers around here somewhere.

My bro-in-law has access to some corner scales. I've been wanting to drop the Imperial on them to get some real world numbers. The only weight I have on it is from driving it across the scale at the landfill.

I don't think its as terrible as you may think. We may even have a Polara we can borrow from a friend to check them out. I sent a message to the boss and head of R&D, I'll let you know what they come back with.
