So here is the deal i have a good starting point of a rimblow but it is cracked. I would like to know how to repair the cracks on it and then where i can get a new chrome stripe for the outside, the rubber horn part, and the horn switch...

Thanks,

I'm sure there will be a lot of ideas on how to repair it with their home remedies, but your best bet is to have it professionally done if you want it to last. We can repair and restore any of the woodgrain wheels to have the original woodgrain pattern, texture and finish and guarantee it to last. We also carry all of the parts to make it show car worthy. See my website for details.

Like Dave said, there's more to repairing these wheels than just filling the cracks. If you want the repair to last you might want to rely on the experience of someone who does this kind of thing for a living.

Having said that I'll throw my hat into the ring and I also offer a re-plating service that brings your rusty, peeling and pitted spokes back to the original satin sheen the factory applied.

To make the repairs to the wheel I wrap the entire rim with random weave carbon fiber cloth and resin before refinishing the wood grain, drawing it all by hand.

There is a good thread on Dodgecharger.com with lots of pictures showing my process. Here is a link, just scroll down about half way on the first page to see the pictures.

Anyway if you'd like to e-mail me at : stwheels@shaw.ca I can send you all the questions I need answered to give you a quote.

Not to step on anyones toes here, but Dave (Plumbeeper) restored my standard 3 spoke Cuda wheel and its as close to original as you will get, IMHO. I looked at 3 different wheels at Carlisle restored by the BIG 3. I wanted as close to original as possible. Plumbeeper was my choice.
