My main square Dodge buddy has a 98 24 valve dually. He let his sister borrow it, and she stopped for "gas" and filled it up with you guessed it, gasoline. Got back on the interstate, after a short it "ran away", and eventually stopped. Of course she re started it. And it did it again. All according to her. That is when she realized something was amiss. DUH! Had it towed to her house. After we got it home, pumped out the fuel in the tank, changed the filters, and filled it with fresh diesel, it started, and is running fine. Buddy was expecting pump damage, fried injectors, etc, but it has been nearly a year and it is still running strong. If yours was not started, simply pumping the tank out and refilling should be all you need, though it would be a fine time to do the filters ...
It takes gasoline to interest me.

Quote:
just drain all the gas / diesel mix you can possibly get out. Refill with diesel and your good. What little gas will be left will be no problem on the older trucks like this one.
...and since you live in Texas, you'll have plenty of starter fluid for your buddies brush pile this Winter.
