A friend just got his 1972 'Cuda out of paint.

It was painted it's original Basin Blue color.

He needs to determine the correct way the rear tail light panel is painted, especially how far it goes up the trunk lid.

Does anyone have correct pictures or drawings they could post?

Thanks.

I replaced my deck lid on my 73 and used this thread https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...amp;Search=true to locate the trim holes. There is an excellent picture of the paint line on the deck lid which is pretty much centered on the holes.

On my 73 the paint line into the trunk went approximately 1/4 of the way up the large access holes in the center and about 1-1/2" back from the lip towards the tail panel in the center. The outer edges are about 1-3/4" from the lip as it curves towards the front on the outer edges.
