You could make a ring of wood or relatively stiff metal to adapt the larger opening on the air cleaner to the carb throat... but why on earth would you do that?

Awesome. Now I can finally pop the hood at car shows and make my lowly 383-2 into a 440 TNT.

My experience? Be aware that you most likely will need to extend the threaded rod on the 2bbl. As you know, the 2bbl has a riser that attaches to the carb throat. Typical 4 barrels have the rod thread into the body. When I did mine, I had a threaded extension welded onto the 2bbl piece (I had a spare from a core carb).

Also, over time, due to heat and the force of the wing-nut keeping the air cleaner in place, plus the fact the engine is vibrating the adaptor (I'm talking plastic here) will over time deform and will need to be replaced. Hope this makes sense.
