69 valiant bench seat car. Scored a set of bucket seats out of a scion tc and figured while i had the interior out to clean everything, i'd try and slide them in.

The factory mounting location is about 3" higher in the front than the rear which gives the seat quite a tilt in the front. Trying to use those holes had the seat 1 1/2" off center to the left. Moving the seat off the factory mount and center between the tunnel and mount has the seat 2" off center to the right. Passenger side was a no go unless using the factory holes.

How are you guys mounting seats or are you using race seats and mounts? I was thinking i might be able to tweak a set of circle track seat mounts to work but figured i'd see what you guys were using.

ordered these. Looks like it should work...

I used 2000-2006? Hyundai Tiburon seats and made my own mounts. Took this opportunity to also move the seat back while I was at it. I'm 6'1" and needed more leg room.
Pictures here.....

i used 2008 charger cop car seats the Lft seat was power so had to double up on factory seat spacers , and modify the floor a little to fit the seat motor . rt side was manual went rite in, they sit a little high . I was six feet tall but now I'm in my 50s I'm shrinking !! one of the best mods I've done and saved a ton of weight .

i just did install SRT4 buckets on the SRT rails in my 67 barracuda Sunday. I welded a simple adapter frame out of 1" square tubing. Think a rectangle with the fore and aft bars running wide to pick up the slightly wider SRT mount points. Looks good despite the high back and feels very good.

that inclination on the front of the scion seat might be an advantage as there is a hump (parking brake?) on the floor between the sill and the front left seat bolt and technically 1" tube isn't tall enough to get over. I wound up imperceptibly offset to the right.

also beware, that the abody floor drops off lower right behind the seat.

I put the power seats out of a 79 Cordoba into my 72 Swinger, years ago but I do not recall any serious problems mounting them.

Don't be the exception.

Positioning aftermarket/newer seats has to be done with your butt in them to get a feel if they are placed correctly.
The driveshaft tunnel in a Mopar is usually NOT centered in the car, so you cannot align the seats to it.

When I put the pair of '80s BMW seats in my Dart I aligned it mostly to the steeringwheel, which ment I had to make 4 new holes in the floors.
Don't forget to reinforce the floor where the new holes are drilled either. You really need to firm up the metal in those places.

The OEM seats are not in the right spot left to right? I didn't even think about it. In fact due to the damn hump in the floor and that i wanted more headroom for a helmet(i like a more vertical driving position), My installation is actually off set to the right 3/8" or so. Cant even notice.

Im not a fan of drilling holes in my floor. Make a bracket.
