Id put the MP 509 in it for sure. MP 590 if you want to go faster. What are your et/street goals?

May as well go 4.25 stroke with a 2.2 journal.
I don't know if anyone makes a 400 crankshaft that's 4.15/2.2 with the 400 size mains and counterweights.

4.25 stroke, 2.2 rod journal makes more sense unless you have a CI limit to stay under. S/F....Ken M

We need to know the usage, rpm range, fuel, trans, and budget to give you an idea. The range is from about $5000 to $15000 so how much power do you want to buy? Basically you can go from about 500 hp to 850 hp within those $ numbers.

You could use more cam, say .700 lift and about 280 @ .050 intake duration. I made great power with the RR735 Isky roller, 847 hp with my 528 motor. Good cam, easy on parts.

What ET range are you shooting for? Do you prefer pump gas/ race fuel or E85?

The answer to that can help decide on your piston/compression choices.

Looks like your car is setup for full race/non street.

As stated by GregsDart, you can build a stroker 400 block into a wide spectrum of performance.

You can build a Pump gas motor that will get you in the 9.9s/9.7s 1/4 6.3s/6.1s 1/8

Or Alot faster with Race fuel motor with more comp. 9.0s/5.7s 1/4/,1/8, mile your call brother.

As close to 6.0 that I can get to . There are not a lot of choices .. I might have preferred a 3.915 stroke for the rod angle but could only get one from 440 source . I am happy with my decision . a 1.63 rot angle and about 12.8 I think is the comp .

you are right . I have not found one even the eagle 4.150 is not 2.20 .. but the piston only weighs 486 gr . I first wanted a 3.915 and would have bought a 440 source but I think they are a little over priced at 749. I am going to use the victor heads .. and probably the victor .
