Thumper... U may want to hit Las Vegas Speedway drag races. Next Friday the 8th, they will hold their MOPAR Midnight Mayhem and Showcase Class (late night: 10pm-2am). Here are the basics.. Entry fee will be $30 No riders allowed in this class. Cars must meet all LVMS Midnight Mayhem Show Case rules including; This class is for door cars only with left hand steer, must be street legal appearing, must have working head and tail lights, must have hood Drag Slicks are permitted, and water in burn-out area. All cars must meet all NHRA ET bracket safety rules per ET run. Class will be run at specific times throughout the event, this is the only time water will be put in burn-out box. This class will be run with no score boards. You will only be provided with your side of time slip. Time slips will be given to driver only, not crew members. The Vegas track is about 10 miles North of Vegas out the 15.. IMHO.. It is the best track on the West Coast, good traction, large pits and safe shutoff area. Just my $0.03...

Ya some peeps on here told me about that event and it sounds like a blast but I`m not taking my car out there till after I come back after a week or so unfortunately. My friend and I are already prepping guys for some street racing when Thumper arrives so maybe I can make some quick coin and get that needed Dana before my 8 3/4 scatters..........
If U want some late nite street action.. Depending upon ur setup/horsepower, cruze the Sonic @ Flamingo/Pecos McLeod.. But bring some $ usually the runs are for $300-$1000 near Henderson just off North Boulder Highway (582). Beware of an Orange M-Code Super Bee. Has a 520 incher wedge w/NOS, big tires, runs high 10s'.. That thing moves, pulls the wheels about 4-5 inches @ launch..
Just my $0.03..

Thankxx 4 the heads up and he`s gonna need to be faster than high 10`s to get me but ya never know.
Thump.. Don't confuse strip times with potential on the street .. Hooking up on the street vs. the strip is an art in itself. That super bee launches harder than most strip cars, has a 4-link, reworked torqueflite. Another close friend that has a built 650HP wedge red Duster runs mid-9s, got beat by 2 car lengths. I have never seen a Mopar launch as hard it does, don't know what his 60' times are but I would estimate to be about 1.28.. Once he jumps out front there is no catching him..
Just my $0.03...
