It was around the corner from me and just sat with some stuff in the short bed. A week ago it disappeared and the grass was mowed under it. I saw a guy in the yard yesterday evening and stopped in. He was in a wheelchair and said it was a 78 power wagon with a 400 engine, numbers matching. Looked pretty cool with the paint scheme (red / yellow / black) and the red roll bar.

He traded it to a dealer nearby for a chebby van that had a lift - about a $1500 trade.

If I didn't already have too many projects I woulda snagged it. The thing is at a dealer lot around the corner from me (he said, I haven't looked) if anyone wants details. It runs he says. No idea on condition except it looked pretty good and woulda looked even better towing my Demon to the track, or if it had AC.

I didn't know it had a 400 - too bacd cause I have a kick azz 499 KB/B1MC that would fit right in.

Well, at least it didn't get scrapped out! Sure have been a lot of stories lately about old cars and trucks that have been sitting around then disappear, only to find the owner scrapped them because they couldn't find anyone interested in buying them.

When you guy know about these old cars & trucks sitting, at least check them out from time to time, maybe you can save a few for the future. Gene

Yup, spoke wheels single headlight alum grill (looked good too) and all. Still has the orig paint as far as I could tell.

You know every time I drove by I was thinking how cool that thing would be to tow my drag Demon to the track with. If I had known it had a 400 and if I didn't have way too many stagnant projects around my place... I thought it was a 360.
