i tried searching, but found most replies are about bb trucks.i need a big tube(1 3/4") small block header to go on a lowered truck, that won't drag the ground, or speed bumps.i was looking at the hooker super comps', and the hedman headers.i have pocketed lca's, and cut coils, so it's fairly low.i have experience with the magnum truck headers, and don't care for the ball and socket, or the un-accessible mounting bolts to the head.it looks like a body headers would work, but i don't want something low hanging.thanks for the help.

I've used 1 3/4" Super Comps for an E body only
I relocated one tube for the drivers side
Moved the prop valve on the outside
plated the outside of the frame with a plate that wrapped the top & outside after notching the lip on the bottom
passenger side went in perfect

The collectors sit close to the floor & are tucked an inch inside the profile of the frame

That's what I did on my 73 Pro Streeter I built 15-18 years ago

The member who did wouldn't divulge the part #, not even through a PM & I think they were the 1 5/8" anyway

I was originally thinking more of the 1 7/8" header (# 34017835) they list. but it looks like the back tube on the drivers side might be a problem but it is a slip-fit which might make it easier to "modify"

I think 1 5/8" tubes are standard for most basic headers...
