Any suggestions for air pressures?
295/40/18 rear
315/30/18 front
Suggestions for regular street driving and autocross would be helpful!
Thanks Brad

Technically since most the weight is in the front, it technically should help a little.

that's the idea..... car pushes when tires got hot. The other issue ( well... another issue lets say) is in stock form the track width is wider in the rear, hence the push.... fixed that too.
Any idea on what pressures to run?

The sidewalls on the 615k are pretty stiff, they can be run at fairly low pressure. I run 32 psi all around on street, 30 front 28 rear for autocross. Some of my competitors on them run as low as 26 F 22R....

Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression for autocross people added more air pressure.

I'd agree with what he mentioned as a base, in autocross, you want those tires to get hot as soon as possible since the run is so short. Lower pressures will help aid in that happening, cold tire grip [contact patch] is a big player overall.

Are those pressures with hot or cold tires?
I'm thinkin cold.

If cold, how much pressure do they end up with when hot?

You are correct most tires need higher pressure for Autocross so the sidewalls don't roll over. I ran the Dunlop Z2 and they liked a bit more pressure, 38F and 36R. Lighter cars like Miatas always seem to like more pressure than heavy cars like ours. The pressures I use on the 615K are cold pressures, again with the 615 K you don't get huge pressure increases as the tire doesn't get overheated by falling over on itself. It's a very stable, planted tire in the corners and the pressure after most Autocross runs in my Valiant is rarely up more than 1 or 2 psi. Any more pressure increase than that and you're over driving...

I just use the old school shoe polish or chalk trick. Draw a line of shoe polish across the tread and down the sidewall. Make a run and adjust pressures so that the polish is worn off all the tread and just a little onto the sidewall. Do this on all 4 wheels each run until you have a consistent pressure that works for each tire.

Hey Brad -

I run 615k's on my Mustang for road course duty - 315 squared set up. I start them out at 24 psi as hot temps climb to 34. For Auto-X you may want to start a bit higher though - maybe 25/26.

Just my

Thanks guys those fenders were a TON of work. I was expecting a lot of negative comments online and at Carlisle but nothing but positive remarks/questions. Mopar folks tend to lean on the purist side but so far so good. Not that it matters much. I like to do my own thing. I have the original fenders stored away in case I ever want to go back.
At Carlisle , Mopar Muscle asked to take pictures of it for their magazine, filled out a info sheet too. Cool stuff I thought!
Here is a few pictures of how I made them...

Bought an English wheel, never used on before?

That looks great! I take it those are repop fenders that got the treatment? You might start a trend and be selling some 315 series front fenders for Challengers here.

What manufacturer for the 18" mini lite style wheels there?

Thanks, I expected to get almost run off this site doing this. Yes I bought new AMD fenders to cut up and stored my originals.
These are the rims... http://www.etwheels.com/lt_iii.html
With the hours involved... I don't think it would be a feasible venture making them!

I hear that Brad.....the cornering section appears to be a bit more forgiving on modifications.

So how does the car feel with the 315/295 combo? I forgot your t/bar spring/swagger/shock setup.

I have 1.120" t bars , 225 composite leafs, and double adjustable QA1's on all 4 corners.
Car is great I expected a horrible ride on the streets but it's not bad. The only negative issue is roads with ruts from transport trucks etc.... it follows the ruts pretty good. I got caught in a pretty good rain storm driving home from Carlisle ( 8 hour drive) and was having visions of having to grab a motel room but it was just fine , no hydroplaning at all. Slow manoeuvring like when parking is not an issue at all either! I have power steering with the fast ratio arms.
