Was the sizzler option available on the 72 Demons? If so was there a body colored grille available on the 72, similar to the 71's? I did not find any information about 72 sizzlers on the hamtramack website.

I'm guessing that the answer is no?

Hey man, i've started up a 71 and 72 dodge demon registry and so far, i've collected tons of historical data and from what i've gathered, there was not a colored grille option in 72 like on the 71 Demon Sizzlers. As far as a 72 Demon Sizzler, i'm almost positive it was a 71 only option. Im not 100% on this, but again, through all of my data and pictures so far, i've yet to come across any 72's with a sizzler or colored grille package.

Good luck!

I've created two new a-body registries: a 1971/1972 Demon Registry and a 1970-1972 Plymouth Duster Registry. Both registries are already finished -- i'm still collecting information and photos, constantly adding and changing codes, etc.

The only thing keeping me from publishing them right now is the money issue. It'll be totally free for the public, so im hoping to finish getting the money pretty soon and having them published.

If you're still interested before the site is published, PM me and i'll give ya the details!

There was no '72 Sizzler option. As far as the body colored grill... I believe that only certain High impact paint cars received the body colored grill.
Mine got one because it is Citron Yella.

The Sizzler hood striping was still available for 72, but I don't believe there was an actual Sizzler package.

Grunter, I assume your car is a 71? I have seen a curious yellow 71 Sizzler with that grille and it looks really cool.

My 72 340 Demon came with the sizzler style hood striping. I have never seen a 72 Demon sizzler and most of the information I have read doesn't say if the model was dropped in 72 or not. But then again I didn't know they made a body colored grille on 71 Demons until a couple of years ago, so ya never know.

I'd love to be part of a registry.

Has anyone thought of a book about Dodge Demons? I have been tossing the idea around and am curious if there would be interest??

I contacted Motorbooks about doing a book on 67-69 Darts, and then a follow-up series on early Darts/Valiants then Demons/Dart Sports and there was a little interest, not enough for them to tell me to go ahead.

Thats too bad about the book idea. I would think that if a book was made that had a lot of research, specifics, and details about options and models. Kinda of a restoration book if you will, but one that is fairly accurate that somebody could use to restore that model car, i.e. 67-69 Dart, 71-72 Demon etc.
