factory:
E60-15s front (225/60/15)
G60-15s rear (245/60/15)

but, if you are not going with reproduction Polyglas GTs:
235/60/15s front (F60-15)
255/60/15s rear (H60-15)
look better

Do you have 15x7" rallye wheels, "450" $$ wheels, or other?

Six pack RT, 235/60 front, 275/60 rear. Goodyear Eagle Gt tires. Love the stance. Tight fit at top outside of tire at fender molding,,,,but never has rubbed.

with what Dan replied.

I'll add that if you have manual steering to go with the 225's or even 215's. They still "fit the picture" with 255's on the back and a Trans Am car still handles good with the narrow tire.

I'll agree with the notion that 235's up front on a car with manual steering work much better than 255's...

I like a tall tire and fatboys in the back, I also knew I would be doing some highway miles and wanted to compensate for my 3.91s. I originally used 235/70s up front and even though they never tagged I feared they would so I switched to 215/70s. I run 275/60s in the rear (28 inches tall) so it would bite some. I love the way it drives and performs and I drive it. Fired at the end of March, 1000 in May and 2000 miles in June including up to PA from FL. 60s up front just doesn't have enough sidewall for my liking and makes it sit too low in the front in my opinion.

I have no clearance issues in the rear. In fact room to spare. Factory springs not re-arched but only 60k on them.

Thinking on putting the Cooper Cobras on my 72 Challenger....my brother, who has a few Cudas with the 60's tires reccomended the P255\70R15 for the back and P225\70R15 for the front so they wouldnt rub....also because I wanted the taller tire in the rear for the stance...it's almost an inch taller than the 60 and still at 10.4 width as opposed to 10.7 for the 60's ......anyone running the 70's on their E-bodies?

I have 26x10 on my original front rims.....28x12 in rear (widened rallyes) on my aar.
these ebodies (mopars in general) need some meat to look tuff.

I use to run 255/70s on the back of my challenger. Great highway tire!
