About 2 weeks ago I received a text from a friend telling me their 540/440-1 headed bracket car engine had experienced rocker/lifter failure. I jokingly suggested the owner of the car purchase the 466 I had run in the EngineMasters Challenge last year. Well one thing led to another and I offered to install the larger cam I actually ran in our 471 in the EMC '09 and lend them the engine--(mainly I wanted to see what it would run in a fairly well sorted bracket car).

At this point I had an assembled short block on the stand (thanks to my comrade Joe Rutters) and I still had to refresh the heads and finish the entire assembly.

The changes to the basic configuration were a little more head milling, bigger exhaust valves 1.75"-1.81", more duration cam 269/269 @ .050" same lift, and a Wilson 4 hole spacer.

Last Friday we got it on the pump and made a total of 8 pulls. I was hoping for an honest 750 HP on our dyno considering the best pull last year was 726 HP. Needless to say it was a good Friday. J.Rob

When do we find out how it runs?

What's the rest of the spec and is this a low deck ?
I would also like to see the results along with the weight of the car.
