I am looking for an adjustable tension rod that I can use to provide additional tension on my power steering pump in my small block 1968 Barracuda. I continue to have to tighten the ps belt. That is starting to get old.

I recently found one online; but can't remember the site. I believe it was advertised as a 'universal' tension rod that had a heimed joint on one end and a flat mounting tab on the other end.

Anyone using anything like that? March pulleys has some examples (alternator tension rods mostly); but they are very expensive.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Jon

I never had a problem with tension on any of my belts. Make sure you have a good quality belt as a cheap aftermarket belt can stretch quite a bit.
