Found a couple of threads here without many specifics, searched around. A company called Mar-K used to sell them, but no more. Anyone still making steel roll pans? Or would we need to adapt a fiberglass one for later years?

They're not roll pans, they're ROLLED PANS. That describes the process to make them, the metal is rolled to make those nice smooth curves.

For those of us on a budget, a rolled pan can be made using a flat piece of sheet metal and a large diameter pipe. Attach the pipe to the world, horizontal axis, and pull the sheet metal over it. You need a helper and gloves.

I understand that that is the process on how they are made. BUT, look in any magazine or talk to any truck enthusiast...they are ROLL PANS!PERIOD!

Yeah, I know fabbing one's an option but by the time you french in a license plate recess, etc, then a prefab one starts looking like a better option. Summit has glass ones for '81 and up.

Thanks - yeah, that's one of the treads I had found. One mention of Summit (so must be fiberglass) and, of course, Bigdads fabbed one (beautiful truck, BTW).

Forget the terminology.

I've got my gloves and helper, and I'm still not sure how to attach my pipe to the world.

These guys have most anything you could want. And for our trucks, reasonably priced.

Not sure but here is some information on Grant Customs.

A bit dated, but interesting.

I need this for my '78. Great find,
