I`ve got to give a shout out to Greg at Superformance Gaskets for the absolute BEST gaskets out there hands down. Been runnin the same valve cover gaskets for 4+ years and just received a complete carb set for my dommy and been into the carb several times with one complaint..........the metering block fall off every time I pull the bowls off. And that`s a GOOD thing where all of the the other metering block gaskets would stick to the body and leave an impregnation on the gaskets when removed. These babies leave NO impregnation at all and look new every time. Unaffected by oil and fuel, don`t stick, wick of fall apart.............. I`m trying to get some local shops to step into the 20th century and stock the BEST..............Time will tell.

Well not actually "Red" kind of a Pink/Salmon color.

You can coat any cheap gasket material with a color of your choice however, it will always be just a coating over a cheap gasket material and will sooner or later attack the base material.

Thumper, that is the ONLY complaint we have received in the 2 years we've been manufacturing these so be careful when you pull the last fuel bowl screw

I have no idea why anybody would still use another gasket when these are available

All of our distributors stock them, they are all sponsors/contributors on the board here and the price is comparable to the lesser quality gaskets sold at the Big Box stores

If you have an issue with any of our products, I'm here and won't run and hide

The carb gasktes work great. When you have them on and off on the dyno, its real noticable, as far as durability and the non stick. It amazes me they havent moved better than they have. People want to stick with the old blue crap. Do yourself a favor, and get some good gaskets. Yes, I do sell them, but I support whatever dealer sells the Superformance products. We are all happy to have such a good product to sell.

And as far as Greg goes.....do you remember the old Charlie Daniels song......" so I kicked ole green teeth right in the knees"...well.......ah....forget it.....

LOL Todd your funny

I was just mentioning to a friend this morning wondering why these have not caught on with the Moparts crowd

We have sold thousands of these to our Engine Builder/Machine Shop accounts and currently set up to make about 1,500 more metering block gaskets A.S.A.P.

Todd, what would a carb kit for a 4150/4160 run? I've never used them but am very interested. I actually have two carbs that I need to do.

I am glad this post was put up. I was talking with a guy the other night and he told me about a carb place that sold him a carb that added 40 HP to his NASCAR roundy round car, it had a red gasket. He also told me a story about an engine builder who usually won engine challenges lost once cause he opened up a fuel bowl and a chunk of hgasket came loose and blocked a jet. A $59K loss.

The new Holley gen 3 Dominator I bought had the blue gaskets. I took off the bowels to see what mains it had and the new gaskets were broken off inside and there were chunks loose in the bowl. New gaskets were not much better.

Where do I get these?

I'll have to get some of these gaskets. I installed new blue Holley gaskets and this junk gas is already killing them, not to mention having to pry the metering block off.

Yes, things like that can happen unfortunately

Application wise we offer these gaskets for the 4150 style 650-950 dual feed double pump and the 2 circuit 4500 Dominator's.
We also have them for the 3 circuit 4500 Dominators.

I do believe the Gen 3 Dominators require a different metering block gasket, not made by us yet. Still have research to do on that model.

Here is a pic of a competitors "Red" gasket.

Notice how it's puckered in the circuit channels. Won't be long before this starts causing problems.

Again, you can coat these any color of your choice but if your base material is not up to the task it's just eye candy.

Also notice the circled areas where the holes are not lined up with the circuit channels. One of them is also cross feeding a circuit and certainly will cause some head scratching trying to tune the carb this is on.

All of our carb gaskets start with a Premium Non Stick MP-15 base material and are precision die cut for accuracy. Our "Track Kits" include 2 Fuel Bowl gaskets, 2 Metering Block gaskets, 2 Power Valve gaskets and 8 Nylon Fuel Bowl Screw Washers. Don't neglect to change the Power Valve Gaskets even though you may run a block off plug. This is a known area for loosening up and causing tuning and erratic idle issues.

Carb base gaskets? You may as well replace those also. Made from the same Premium Non Stick MP-15 material like many of our gaskets.

Do you have anything that is NOT yet in the catalog. Looking for a QUALITY valve cover gasket for a Big Chief Chevy head. Believe it or not, as popular and common as that is, GOOD gaskets are hard to find.

Thanks for inquiring Monty!
I'm looking into the Big Chief application for Valve Cover and Intake gaskets. I believe there are some variations in the intake ports that require a couple different gaskets.

If anybody uses facebook please visit our page, give us a "Like" as this is the first place we update with new applications when they become available

Greg's gaskets are a great addition to any build. Running them on the current engine and already have them for the current build. He ain't all bad either. Met him probably 10 years ago or better and always look forward to bumping into him at the track or swap meets. Beep

How do they hold up sitting. I recently learned Holley gaskets shrink when dry and not in use. Do they shrink like Holley gaskets when sitting?

I have not experienced it with this material Bigcube. I believe the more fibrous, coated materials end up getting wet with fuel and when they dry, tend to shrink.

We are working with one of the very best materials available. There is nothing else like it on the market. You can see and feel the quality difference.

Many may ask the question........
"Why don't the big name brand gasket makers use this material?"

The answer?..........
Good question

I know why..............because you won`t keep comin back buying new gaskets every couple of months makin those companies rich. Again, I don`t have any claim here other than the fact that these are absolutely the BEST gaskets I`ve ever used in mt 35+ years of playin w/cars.........

Great gaskets for sure!
The timing cover gasket is available in three thicknesses. This was a big help for me getting my camshaft end play exactly how I wanted it.

After my carb sat for a while the PV gaskets shrunk. It would load the plugs every time you started it. I finally found out why with Dwayne a couple weeks ago. Both PV's were loose. Gas was pouring past the gasket and flooding the motor. New PV gaskets fixed it but I'd rather not worry about it. One PV gasket had split in half. I think I'll be placing an order.

Similar experience here. I bought the short deck timing cover gasket for a small block and didn't use any sealer at all under the Jesel cover and haven't had a single leak from it. I thought this would be hard to seal, but not with the material Greg's gaskets are made from.

i just put my oil pan (with windage tray) on using his gaskets and recommendations. very thin line permtaex black between the pan and the first gasket, as these pans are not very straight, dab of black at each side of the rear seal and the front cover.

not a single drop of oil from that pan! more thumbs up than can fit on a page!

And the best part is he only lives about 20 minutes from my house
The best gaskets in the world only minutes away, does it get any better? Oh yeah it does get better because he always has a cold beverage waiting for me
Thanks Greg

OK I'm sold. looks like I am going to be getting some soon.

2 new motors coming, going to get the builder to use these.

I should ask if there is any R5P7 stuff you are working on or have but not in the catolog yet?

One of the new motors is a R5 but I will need carb gaskets for it if you offer for the Ultra HP Dominators?
