I have a 70 Charger with a original green top. I bought it from the original owners son. It sat in the same garage all its life. It was parked in 1981 and stayed there until I bought it in 2007. It has been inside my shop, out of the sun since I have owned it. The middle portion must be from a different lot because it is faded a different shade of green. I can't imagine it was that way when picked up at the dealers new.
Actually, It sat outside for one week, under a tree, thus the bird poop. The flipper I bought it from realized that he could not go down to the GM dealer and buy parts for it like any 69 Chevy.
