working on a friends car, it starts but when you put it in any gear it does not move, rpms seems to drop a little like it engaged, also when its cold it should be above the fill line which it is, when hot the level drops down a bit 1/2 inch? not as much as in a working trans in other cars which drop about 1 inch down, no codes..fuses seem fine, a/t trans relay good..trying to work on this without all the scanners and such..old school way..looked at flexplate and converter attached..nothing broken there..trans select switch ohmed out ok ..any thoughts???

I ASSUME its a 2 dr coupe? If so the it will have a Mitsu trans, not a Chrysler 41TE. I have seen several of the Mitsu trans strip out the splines on the input shaft and/or torque converter causing your problem.

I've never been in the mitsubishi trans but I did have one several years ago that did strip the splines inside the convertor .
It had near zero pump pressure. I pulled it thinking it need a pump, till I looked into the convertor on someone elses advise .
put a gauge on it and ck pump pressures.

I know several people who do transmissions, and no one wants to mess with one of these trans ,,myself included

checked all the wiring to and from and all checked out fine, took the trans cooler hose off the radiator side and started the car..no fluid coming out..like you said, bad pump or converter splines or the input shaft...
