Yes. It's true! I have the new LMC truck parts Dodge catalog in my hands and they have 8' box sides for the 72-80 Dodge trucks. I thought his was too good to be true so I called them and they confirmed that they do have them and in stock. And at $199 each they are affordable too.
This is great news for us Dodge guys.
Now I just need to get a set and see how nice they are

Cool. Been waiting to see when someone would be making them again. That dried up in the late 90's.

There were reproduction box sides available in the early 90's. I put a pair on a Club can around 1991. They were decent too. I wonder if these are made from that same tooling or if LMC has them made on new tooling?
Either way I am happy they are being made. Hope they make short bed versions too.

The price sounds decent. A LOT of old Dodges suffer from rusted bedsides!

Do these replacement bedsides bolt in place or is welding required?

You should be able to glue them on & tack weld them in places or weld them on I've seen one done with pop rivets
