wenches are expensive. very. eventually, they all will let you down. take your money, and buy a winch instead!!!

*** aye, here be a wench, from one of me mateys.

Cant help you in finding a wench..

but I can help you with a winch. My buddy has 1 of these on his open trailer. some might think its overkill but you cant beat the price for another 1 this strong.

Harbor Freight 12,000 for $299 is hard to beat. Got one on my 20' trailer, been there since 1990 and never has let me down.

I have warn 9500 winch on my open trailer...

Few things to think about before buying.... most recommend 1 and 1/2 time the weight, me I would suggest 2times. Are your going to be pulling with single line or duel line? with a duel line it will pull more weight but is slower.
Mounting- make sure you mount to frame rails of trailer, I recommend welding and bolting to c or I beams to trailer frame rails and the winch to them. most trailer builders on make there mounts to 5000 lbs... witch is just on the edge of "safe" for a 3200lb car. and last but not least... make sure you strap the front, even with the winch. winches WILL back off in transport...

Even the smartest of people need to reread these two quotes

Mounting to the deck of the trailer ends in the same work in the end anyway

Hope not. They are more expensive than a winch..
