I'm also very curious about manual shift drag racing transmissions and clutch systems. What is the accepted procedure.

I was always unsure if the Jerico would accept abuse from a 1000 HP motor. Maybe the newest DR4-4 will.

I'm also guessing that a duel disc clutch is required.

I see Russ Cambell made some passes with his cuda at the div 3 points race. He only went 10.67 I wonder if he had any trouble or was he just making some shake down runs?????Does anyone know???????

Mr. Campbell was just making some shakedown runs. They literally bolted the engine in at DePillo's Friday morning, and made it to Columbus for the last Q Friday night. They had the "Wilkes" removed off of the doors and replaced it with "Missouri Mule", and it looks killer. It's tough getting a 4 speed guy to learn how to footbrake...that's all I will say Russ and his wife are great people and will be a wonderful addition to the hemi crowd for sure.

Russ was having big problems with the 2 step, it would stay on after he left the line, looked like a super class car on a timer. Anyhow they are trying to get it fixed and he will be at our Xenia Buckeye SS/stock Series event on Sat august 1st racing.

The air was pretty killer when they ran this morning. The DA was around 600'+-. They ran just after us this morning. Third round he blew the tires off as many of the cars did in Q3 in the left lane. Raybourn went 8.67 in Q2 and Mazzolini was 8.78 and did not see him in Q3.
Gotta love these AH cars.
