My friend just acquired a 1952 Dodge Truck and the motor in it he cannot figure out. I have not seen it, but he has described it and sent some casting #'s.

He says the valve covers say "fire power" and the left cylinder head has this number onit 1555768-2.

The intake has #1610472-1.

The block number he found is #WE5572734.

If anybody has any information, please let me know, thanks.

Alan.

Looks like WE55 is a 1955 331 Chrysler hemi.

He just emailed me back and they do not say fire power the valve covers say spit fire. It is probably not an early Hemi but a poly motor?
If it is a poly would it be a 301?

He is trying to send me a picture of the valve covers.

Thanks R/T, what gives it away as being a 354?

Just curious.
