Just finished the electronic ignition conversion on my 72 Dart.

With the key in the ON position,I have power on both sides of the Ballast resistor,Both sides of the coil and the red wire coming out of the Harness that plugs into the Electronic ignition box.

Is there anywhere else I need to check for power and what should the results be in those places?

The reason I ask is because I just tried starting the car for the first time since completing the conversion and it wouldnt start, now im thinking maybe the carb could be dry as well, its been sitting a long time.

pull the coil wire out of the top of the distributor...place it a metal object that is ground to the car...

turn engine over...if you see spark.. it will try to start...

if it fires and dies...check for voltage on the run side of the ballast ...

also...put some gas in the carb...

So as far as the wiring harness and the conversion goes,I shouldnt need to check for power anywhere else?

Well I got the conversion licked. I put some fuel down the carb and after several cranks the engine sputtered to life.So seems my conversion was a success!!
