I think a truck smiley would be great because after all they did help win world war two!....We could be speakin another language and not be free if not for this...not to mention the diesel pickup revolution....which really helped Dodge survive the 80's....

Old Goat, If it were me, I would get the parts to make the '89 a runner.

I was wonderin since the 89 is a 4wd, how one would handle lowered, with better sway bars and gas shocks?...probably fantastic!
I am thinkin a 360 warmed over, and about 235/60 tires....3.73 gears
I just wish it was a shortbed.
I already located a good transfer case for it.but I am gonna swap cabs between the 83 shortbed and the 89 4wd, cause I really want all the creature features...from the factory. I want the 4wd to be more of a good handling different angle toy.

I don't know if y'all checked out the ad that Bzzzzz had on the truck parts for sale awhile back, but we struck a deal on the parts truck he had for sale...is a shortbed (84 I think)...has a/market lowered lower control arms, and some very useable body parts...truck is wrecked...rearended...no engine/trans
so I guess there will be more parts and pieces shuffled into the 'ol 84 driver, like the arms, and the pass side door I need..if the chassis isnt bent too badly, I will use it too eventually.
Right now I have so many projects lined up I will be an ancient goat by the time I am done with em all...Oh well, I live for it!
Looks like a trip to Kansas is in order in two weeks!!!!...a Moparts friend is goin with me,if he can!

still think the truck smiley would be a welcome addition to all....

And without the trucks, what do they tow their cars around with?

I cant say I know of many Dodge Truck TRAILER QUEENS!...and the ones that are get towed by a TRUCK....Most of the guys I know that race em drive em to and from the races...under their own power.

So I still don't understand what the problem with a smiley is...

You know, your right, our club has been putting shows on for a long time and i never thought about it, but yes, almost every truck that attends, even if its racing, drives itself there----obviously there are a few exceptions----such as this blown big block tube chassis stepside that comes to our show---and runs 8's

Outcast Dodge guy.

Just an observation, not to say there is anything wrong with a true show or race truck ON a trailer.

When I was in Amarillo, the track was about 10 miles away....and I could get there on mostly backroads...if I wanted to.
Lubbock is a much better track, and is 100 miles or so from Amarillo.....never raced there.
