Sold off a 1970 dart that i didn't want... finally gone. Now I have some cash, time and motivation to get my barracuda back running.
1968 barracuda,
540 stroker, 10.5 to 1 comp, big roller cam (within reason) 680ish lift, 288 ish duration @ 50 , victor heads w/ T&D offset rockers, billet main caps, i beam rods, and block girlde, dual pickup milodon pump, victor intake, 1050 dominator carb, Car ran good with the cam before, decent idle quality, and didn't load up.
Pulled apart the car to install 18 spline 4 speed ( i rebuilt it) , american powertrain twin disc clutch with steel flywheel and hydraulic t/o. The rear is a dana 60 with mark williams axles and gears and spool. I wanted to row gears.
The car is only mini tubbed and sits on SS springs. Tucks a 11 wide 28 inch tall slick very nicely. I don't believe i will be going to coilovers any time soon.
I doubt I will have great traction, which should allow me to run the transmission problem free???? maybe?
The front end will hopefully
be getting tubular upper control arms and coilovers to do away with the t bars and a rack and pinion setup.
Does anyone see any obvious issues with this?
It will be a street car that see's track time. has a 8 pt roll bar.
I am also going to be buying or building a set of headers, any recommendations.???? I have no inner fenders.
Thanks for any helpful input!
