Aluminum blocks are fine if they are billet or extruded, cast not so much. I made custom perches from 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" 1/4" wall rectangular tube to lower my car 2-3/8" and I am going to put a 1/2" aluminum block under that to move rear end back 3/4". 8118558-Part5.jpeg (36 downloads)
