Having difficulty getting the hub busted loose. Buggered one of the 12 point 14MM bolt heads, will need to run to the pick and pull for a replacement. Loosened the 3 bolts, trying to beat on the socket to knock the hub loose. Lower rear bolt is not so bad, and hub is loose there. But top and front bolts, can't really get a good swing on the hammer to rock them good. Soaking in PB Blaster right now.

As one of the other posters said, using the power steering, wedge a block, (socket extension) etc between the frame and the hub, then turn the wheel to get some movement on the hub, then go to the other side of the hub and do the same...
Smack with hammer, repeat until it gives up.
Give the parts a bath in Antiseeze before re-assembly.

Yup, finally pushed it loose with the power steering. First axle is out. U-joint is FUBAR. Don't have a vise big enough to handle the yoke and sockets. Tried cutting the old joint with a 18v Sawzall and a metal blade. That's not getting anything done. Got my small cutting wheel out, didn't have enough diameter to reach down into the yoke and cut through the joint. I'll get the bigger cutting wheel out tomorrow or go buy a big vise somewhere. Home Depot only had 6" jaw opening, biggest they had.

Wow, 8" vices are expensive! Heck for what they cost, I decided to just step up and buy the Tiger tool kit and be done with it. Much less hassle than the vise and sockets. There are some good clips of the Tiger tools on U-Tube, pretty slick and quick. web page
