Push the tranz button when you want to be in reverse. Some brakes are that way.
If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

I have tried that also. It seems like all it has is forward gear. I thought it might be a little stiff since it was rebuilt so I tried to hold it with the wheel brakes and it is driving through them. The only time it won't go forward is when it is in park. Could something of happened to the case? Trans guy and I, both are running out of options. Mike
I dont think its a case problem... I forget right now but I think if the band doesnt release you have a problem... I might have said that backwards... I'd have to look in my book

I appreciate you looking. It does air check good. I have never had a problem like this before. It is a LBA trans-brake now, so I will have to press button for reverse to engage. The old brake is a JMH brand. That is what is engraved on the cover. Has anyone heard of them? Thanks for the help. Mike
From my understanding the LBA brakes you press the button for reverse... you might call the brake comp and ask and should it be in reverse or neutral

I would try to find the JMH co. He might have done some internal mods to the case for his brake to work. Those mods may not work with other brakes. I have not heard of JMH. Don

Driving forward in Neutral is more likely a rear clutch that's not releasing due to a failed Belleville.

Is a Belleville a washer? Mike
The clutch in the rear of the transmission is also called the forward clutch since it is engaged in all forward gears. In neutral or reverse it should be disengaged. This is a picture of the Belleville spring in the rear clutch. It is easy to crack, especially the early versions. It is roughly 7 inches in diameter.
I like to keep the clearance in this clutch tight, about 0.025" to 0.035". But too tight and it will drag. But a broken Belleville spring or other binding will drag in neutral/reverse.
